UNSW Aerospace Engineering ranked #1 in Australia, #34 in the World

School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering

UNSW Sydney's Aerospace Engineering performed strongly in the latest ShanghaiRanking of World Universities. UNSW Aerospace Engineering ranked 1st in Australia. Globally, UNSW Aerospace Engineering moved up from 41 to 34.

Other specialisations within the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering also performed well with Mechanical Engineering also ranked 1st in Australia and 45th globally. 

In both Academic Subjects, no other Australian University is in the top 50.

As a University, UNSW topped the nation for subjects ranked number 1 in Australia for the second year in a row.

ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects has published the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) by academic subjects since 2009. The rankings assess more than 4000 universities across 54 subjects in natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences, and social sciences.
