Flow Noise Group would like to welcome a new visitor - Gaspard Rey. Gaspard is an undergraduate student in the last year of his degree at the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) in Lyon. He will be joining us over the next few months to work on experiments for his thesis. Gaspard is studying the effect of aspect ratio and boundary layer tripping conditions on the aerodynamics, and possibly acoustics, of a wall-mounted finite airfoil. He will design and 3D-print test models and measure their lift and drag with variations in the boundary layer trip, flow speed and angle of attack in our wind tunnel.
